All Things Got7

In 2014 JYP Entertainment formed a multi-national Korean boy group name Got7. In is this group they consist of 7 members: JB the leader, Mark Tuan, Park Jin-young (Junior his stage name), Jackson Wang, Kunpimook Bhuwakul (known by his nickname BamBam), Kim Yugyeom, and Choi Youngjae. A multinational group with members from South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and United States. Got7 signed under Sony Music sub-label Epic Records to allow activities in Japan. For the amount they've done in 2014, the group Got7 won "Best New Artist Group" at the Seoul Music Awards as well winning the Newcomer Award and China Goodwill Star Award. They were nominated 28 times and won 10 awards.


History of Got7

January 20th, 2014 Got7 dropped their first debut with EP; "Got it?" and the album was released on January 16th, 2014. With 6 songs; "Hello", "Girls Girls Girls", "I Like You", "Follow Me", "Like Oh" and "Playground". The main song that was used to promote their EP was "Girls Girls Girls". The album hit number 1 spot on the Billboard's World Albums chart. They performed their debut single "Girls Girls Girls" through Mnet's M! Countdown a South Korean music television program that features latest and most popular artists to perform live.

June 23rd, 2014 Got 7 released their 2nd mini album titled "Got Love". With 7 songs; "U Got Me", "A", "Bad Behavior", "Good Tonight", "Forever Young", "A(collapse-done remix)", "A (Toyo remix)" and "A (Frants remix)". The main song that was used to promote their EP was "A". On the same day their music video for "A" was released as well. The album was hit 6th on the Billboard's World Albums Chart.

November 2014, they released their first full-length album titled "Identify". With 11 songs; "Stop Stop it", "Gimme", "Take My Hand", "Magnetic", "Just Tonight", "Turn Up the Volume", "Stay", "Moonlight", "She's A Monster", "Girls Girls Girls" and "A". The main song that was used to promote the album was "Stop Stop it". The music video for "Stop Stop it" was also released. The song "Stop Stop it" peaked at number 4 on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart.

June 13, 2015 the group released their 3rd mini album titled "Just Right". With 6 songs; "Just right", "Before the Full Moon Rises", "My Whole Body is Reacting", "Nice", "Mine", "Back To Me". The main song that was used to promote the EP was "Just right". As well as the music video for "Just right" and received more than a million views within 12 hours on Youtube. The song also peaked at number 3 on Billboard's World Digital Songs Chart and was on top 3 for 2 consecutive weeks.

September 29th, 2015 they released their 4th EP titled "Mad". With 6 songs; "If You Do", "Put Them Up", "Feelin' Good", "Good", "Eyes On" and "Tic Tic Tok". The music video for "If You Do" was also released and was ranked number 1 on Itunes charts in 6 different countries. Later on, on November 23 they released their first repackaged album "Mad: Winter Edition". With 10 songs "Confession Song", "Everyday", "To. Star", "If You Do", "Put Them Up", "Feelin' Good", "Good", "Eyes On" and "Tic Tic Tok" and "If You Do (stage version). The music video for "Confession Song" was also released.

October 22, 2014 the group debuted in Japan and released their first Japanese single "Around the World". June 10, 2015 they released their 2nd Japanese single "Love Train". The single hit number 4 on Oricon's(Broadcast of music entertainment) singles charts and topped Japanese ringtone chart Recochoku (music entertainment). The group also held fan meetings at Tokyo and Osaka in Japan. September 23rd, 2015 Got7 released their third Japanese single "Laugh Laugh Laugh" and its B-side "Be My Girl". It sold 14,000 copies on the first day of the release and made first place on the Oricon's singles chart.

  • Mark Yi-Eun Tuan: Born on September 4, 1993 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The oldest member as well as the main rapper and vocalist 
  • Im Jae-bum (JB): Born on January 6, 1994 in Goyang, South Korea. The leader as well as lead vocalist and rapper 
  • Jackson Wang: Born on March 28, 1994 in Hong Kong. The lead rapper and vocalist 
  • Park Jin-young (Junior): Born on September 22, 1994 in Jinhae-gu, South Korea. The lead vocalist and rapper 
  • Choi Young-jae: Born on September 17, 1996 in Mokpo, South Korea. The main vocalist 
  • Kunpimook Bhuwakul (BamBam): Born on May 2, 1997 in Thailand. The lead rapper and vocalist 
  • Kim Yu-gyeom: Born on November 17, 1997 in Namyangju, South Korea. The youngest member as well as the vocalist

Not only do they sing, they also have a drama with all members call "Dream Knight". They also have their own reality show with 3 seasons so far. They are also featured in different variety shows.
